Devs United Games, the creative minds behind the Quest-exclusive hit Real VR Fishing, have some exciting news for PC VR enthusiasts. They’re all set to cast their nets wider by launching this much-loved virtual reality fishing experience on PC VR headsets next month.
Scheduled for an early December launch on SteamVR, Real VR Fishing will mirror the pricing and gameplay style of the Quest version. Fans will be pleased to know that all downloadable content, including the US West Coast DLC, US East Coast DLC, and both parts of the Japan DLC, will be readily accessible right from the launch on Steam.
In its base version, the game offers 40 scenic fishing spots and a jaw-dropping variety of over 150 fish species. Beyond that, each DLC pack expands the playground with an additional 95 fishing locations and a huge collection of over 300 fish, ensuring a fresh catch every time you play.
Although the Quest version of Real VR Fishing allows both solo and up to four-player multiplayer modes, it’s important to note, as confirmed by the developers to Road to VR, that the Steam version won’t support cross-play multiplayer with the Quest, Pico, and PC VR platforms.
For those curious about additional features, the Steam version rolls out with built-in YouTube and web browsing capabilities, continues with monthly updates, and offers delightful aquarium customization options.
Since its original debut on Quest back in late 2019, Real VR Fishing has hooked a loyal following, becoming the platform’s leading fishing game with a stellar 4.6 out of 5 ratings from more than 7,200 players.
You might want to put Real VR Fishing on your Steam wishlist now, so you’re ready to dive in as soon as it’s released in early December.
