This desire has given rise to an unsettling urban legend: those who crave recognition excessively might vanish into mysterious “Glitches.” Even more spine-chilling is the rumor that malevolent creatures lurking in these Glitches substitute the missing students in the real world, going unnoticed by everyone around them.
