Hold onto your controllers because we’ve got some thrilling news that’s turning this month into quite the spectacle! If you’re a fan of 2XKO, you’ll be excited to hear about the latest information buzzing across social media channels. True, it’s an announcement about a future development update video, but it’s enough to confirm that a comprehensive breakdown of changes to the game, “Jinx,” and details on the next Alpha Lab test are on the horizon.
Who’s bringing us this exciting scoop? None other than Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief of 2XKO, who shared the update on Twitter. He wrote, “We just wrapped filming for the upcoming 2XKO update! There’s still a bit of work to do on editing, production, and localization, but here’s what’s on the docket: an in-depth look at gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1—yes, including Jinx!—some background on what to expect from Alpha Lab 2, and a special showmatch featuring our dev team.”
Ben didn’t stop there. He added, “This update is packed with details, so the video runs a bit long, likely about an hour. We’re aiming to release the update in the last week of March. We’re not ready for a global PowerPoint livestream just yet, but who knows what the future holds…”
Before you start speculating, Ben clarified that this update won’t feature any new character reveals. It’s better not to place any bets this time around.
Previously, at the end of last year, the 2XKO team left us eager for more with a hint that new information would be unveiled in February. However, instead of new details, game director Shaun Rivera took to Twitter to share some changes, like an expanded scope for the next Alpha Labs test and a new game fuse.
Seems like internal shifts at Riot paired with adjustments to the Alpha Lab tests have postponed the expected February update to the latter half of this month. Nevertheless, with the game still slated for release this year, getting this thorough update will offer much-needed insights on the progress, ongoing developments, and where we might see 2XKO popping up next in the gaming sphere.
