Take-Two Interactive has expressed a strong likelihood of supporting the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, though they’re currently keeping further details under wraps.
Over the years, this third-party publisher has been quite active on the original portable home console, releasing well-known titles like BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection, XCOM 2 Collection, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and New Tales from the Borderlands. More recently, they’ve added LEGO 2K Drive, NBA 2K25, and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII to their roster of Switch games.
“We’ve had a solid relationship with Nintendo, and we’ve backed their platform when it fit our release strategy,” shared Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, during the company’s Q3 2025 earnings call. He added, “In the past, Nintendo’s consoles primarily targeted younger audiences, which influenced our game offerings. But today, with the Nintendo Switch and soon the Switch 2, these devices cater to a broader demographic. For instance, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is now available on Switch. While we can’t provide specifics just yet, we do expect to support the Switch 2.”
