Sonic Set to Debut on Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Day

Did you manage to snag a pre-order for the Nintendo Switch 2 last night or this morning? If so, you’re in for a treat. SEGA has just revealed that Sonic will be part of the launch lineup. Get ready for SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS, releasing on June 5th.

Alongside Sonic, the Nintendo Switch 2 will also debut Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S. Pre-orders for both physical and digital versions are up and running.

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS – Dive into a fresh story campaign with Shadow, showcasing his never-before-seen abilities that truly define him as the Ultimate Life Form. This game also features a remastered version of the much-loved Sonic Generations, offering a mix of iconic 3D and 2D Sonic stages, now with enhanced visuals and bonus content.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S – Prepare for the thrilling puzzle action in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S! Experience the new “Puyo Tetris Doubles” mode, allowing 2v2 battles with teams sharing a single board to unleash massive combos. Enjoy various local and online modes supporting up to four players, and explore a diverse roster of 40 characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog, each with unique stats and abilities.

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut – Discover the definitive version of the acclaimed origin story from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Yakuza series, now enhanced for the Nintendo Switch 2! This edition brings new story cutscenes, an all-new “Red Light Raid” online multiplayer mode to team up with friends against waves of enemies, and includes voiceovers in English and Chinese, plus subtitles in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.

Pre-orders are also available for RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, set to release on June 19th. Keep an eye out for Two Point Museum joining the lineup later this year.
