Quest Games Optimizer, the handy software designed to enhance game performance on Quest VR headsets, has now surpassed an impressive 100,000 users.
Launched back in 2022, this tool works its magic in the background while you play, optimizing resolution, performance, and frame rate. Plus, it extends battery life across all Quest models, from the original launched in 2019 to the latest Quest 3S.
Recently, the creator known as ‘Anagan79’ announced they’ve reached a significant milestone with over 100,000 users on board. If we assume each user paid the full $10 for the app, this translates to a whopping $1 million in gross revenue, especially considering it includes a lifetime license for users.
That said, the optimizer isn’t compatible with every Quest game just yet. However, the team has prepared a handy list of supported titles, with around 1,000 Quest apps tested and approved to operate smoothly with Quest Games Optimizer.
How does it achieve these boosts? It allows players to delve into their headset’s system settings for each game, offering the option to use preset or craft custom profiles. This flexibility lets you tweak settings like render resolution, refresh rate, and the levels of CPU and GPU being utilized, and even adjust fixed foveated rendering.
One unique aspect of Quest Games Optimizer is how you can get it. Unlike most Quest apps available in the official Horizon Store or the SideQuest platform, this tool is only available through its dedicated website, with distribution handled via itch.io.
For those unfamiliar with sideloading, one of the simplest methods to get the app is using SideQuest’s Advanced Installer. This tool enables you to install APK files through a tethered PC connection, making the process straightforward for users eager to amplify their gaming experience.
