Well, I have to say, when Boxing Day rolls around, there’s definitely a couple of game developers I’d want to have a word with.
Let me bring you up to speed on some things that flew under the radar last week: the Indie World game "Quilts and Cats of Calico" just randomly launched, and North America was treated to a new Dodonpachi bullet hell shooter titled "Saidaioujou". Plus, Taito’s "Warrior Blade" made its way to the Archives.
I’m writing this from the cozy confines of my parents’ home, which is tucked away in a promised land of no internet—making my gaming adventures slower than ever. Scrolling through the eShops, I couldn’t find a single game standing out this past week. Meanwhile, Europe seems spoiled with offerings from various publishers, all showcasing surprisingly similar screenshots (I swear North America got that right-side game not too long ago). To sum up, it feels like a gaming drought, at least on this side of the pond.
Anyway, whether you’re celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, or something else, I wish you joyful times. Fingers crossed Nintendo gets their act together—perhaps they need a visit from the proverbial three ghosts to sort this mess out. Catch you next week!

On the sales front, most third-party developers are offering fantastic deals across North America. James reminded us of a special sale: "The Ace Attorney Investigations Collection" is currently enjoying its first discount at 25% off until January 6. Keep an eye on PSPrices and DekuDeals for these deals.
Europe and Japan
Europe’s list includes:
- Paw Paw Destiny dropping Monday at €14.99/£12.99.
- BeatBlast: Rhythm Rampage arrives Wednesday, priced at €5.99/£5.39.

Meanwhile, in Japan:
- Thinking of You: Beyond Time lands at ¥3300.
- Jewel Fever 3 rounds out the lower prices at ¥999.
Plenty of choices for everyone, no matter where you are! Here’s to hoping next week offers an even wider array of enticing games that make our holidays just a bit merrier. See you then!
