If you’ve been itching for some thrilling robot action, today might just be your lucky day. Steel Hunters has burst onto the scene in Early Access! This free-to-play game creatively mixes the excitement of extraction shooter gameplay with the intensity of battle royales, promising a rush of adrenaline for all you mech enthusiasts out there.
Steel Hunters is brought to life by Wargaming, the team behind popular titles like World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes. This time, they’re stepping into an entirely different realm, yet they bring that same strategic warfare experience polished to a shine in a new niche.
At the launch of Early Access, the game features seven unique Hunters, which are basically this game’s take on mechs. An additional Hunter is slated to be introduced later during the Early Access phase. It also offers three distinct maps to explore, a battle pass to progress through, and the assurance that none of your hard-earned progress will be wiped when the game officially launches. So, if you’re on the fence about diving in, now’s an optimal time to start your adventure.
This appears to be a fantastic period for lovers of all things robotic. Earlier in the year, we witnessed the open beta for Mecha Break, offering a different style reminiscent of classic Gundam games. In contrast, Steel Hunters takes a more grounded approach, both in strategy and aesthetics.
If this piques your interest, why not give it a shot? Steel Hunters is ready and waiting for you on PC. We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
