On November 22, he mentioned receiving an email from a game developer hinting at the Switch 2’s release window. The message allegedly mentioned a new game launching in “Q1 2025 on PC (Steam), Xbox One & Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch(es)!” The plural form of “Switch” led Georg to postulate it referred to the Switch 2.
The intriguing part? If this game’s release aligns with other platforms, the Switch 2 could emerge within the first quarter of 2025. If true, it would suggest an untypically brief marketing period for such a major release, diverging from past strategies where consoles were announced several months before their launch. Nintendo’s original Switch had a five-month lead-up, and the Xbox Series X/S was introduced a year prior.
