Imagine this: you’re about to embark on a behind-the-scenes journey of a movie set, right from your cozy spot at home. You’ll get to experience the sets, stunts, and actors all guided by none other than director Eli Roth himself.
We’re thrilled to present an exciting new video shot on the set of the highly-anticipated video game adaptation, Borderlands. Partnering with Light Sail VR, Eli Roth captured some amazing footage featuring stars like Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, and Ariana Greenblatt. While this footage is phenomenal in VR, it’s pretty impressive on a regular screen as well.
Roth shared, “I’m a huge VR enthusiast and have been using a GoPro 360 since 2018. Knowing that set visits wouldn’t be feasible during the pandemic, I wanted to offer fans a virtual glimpse of what it was like to recreate the vibrant world of Borderlands. You’ll get to see the remarkable sets our Budapest art department crafted, stand beside the actors during rehearsals, and watch incredible scenes like Cate Blanchett and Ariana Greenblatt performing high above the ground, leaping from a truck bed in motion. We collaborated with Light Sail VR to craft an extraordinary experience that immerses you right in the heart of the action. It truly captures the essence of being on set in the wild universe of Borderlands.”
