This week, we have an exciting expansion on our 1-900-103-4RFN offerings as we take a deep dive into Death Wish 4 (00:00:26). While this was initially meant to be part of our intro, you know how RFN can go—the unexpected is expected.
After probably more time than needed on introductions—mostly to familiarize newcomers with our voices and to confirm if Jon’s missing (he often is)—we finally jump into the NEW BUSINESS segment! Greg starts us off with a quick update on Mario & Luigi: Brothership and leads us into a discussion about the latest NSO game, Donkey Kong Land (00:13:38). James is back in action, pondering over the newly-released KUUKYOMI 4: Consider It (00:31:04). It’s becoming tricky to discuss these because, while they feel the same, there’s still a goofy charm to them. Guillaume wraps up with some final reflections on Trials of Mana (00:39:54), which turns out to be a strong contender in gaming. Interestingly, it’s part of the Nintendo Black Friday sale. On a different note, he isn’t as thrilled with the Amazon series, Like a Dragon: Yakuza (00:45:43). Meanwhile, Jon has picked up Skyrim yet again (01:05:01). But this time, he’s playing it on the PS5. He and James are deep into planning their strategy for purchasing vouchers for the eShop and Xbox Live—it’s about to get serious for these two.
Post-break, we channel our focus on the Nintendo DS, compiling a list of eight DS games, with two games each, to debate on as we decide what to spotlight for The Nintendo DS 20th Anniversary Retroactive (01:15:27). Curious about our choice? Tune in to uncover the pick.
