This week marks the arrival of a well-loved engineering puzzle game on Quest, inviting players to dive into a plethora of bridge-building challenges in both virtual and mixed reality.
Originally, Bridge Constructor Studio was supposed to launch last week, ushering its engaging bridge-building simulation to Quest in VR. It also includes a feature to construct, test, and perfect your bridge creations in mixed reality on Quest 3. Though it’s a bit behind schedule, the anticipation is still very much alive.
Scheduled for release on December 12th, Bridge Constructor Studio proudly comes with a campaign packed with 70 puzzles. These tasks challenge players to transport various vehicles along routes crafted from an assortment of construction materials like wood, steel, cables, concrete pillars, and roadways.
Unlike its predecessor’s flat-screen versions or its main rival, Poly Bridge, this XR version of the game does away with default budget constraints and material limits. However, those yearning for an extra challenge can activate these limitations to score a “special award,” as the developers mention.
Besides tackling the campaign, players can immerse themselves in the Scenario Creation Mode. This mode opens up the horizon to design and experience personalized bridge-building scenarios, allowing the saving of up to 40 custom levels within your player profile.
Developed by ClockStone STUDIO, Bridge Constructor Studio brings to life both the flat-screen and XR editions of LEGO Bricktales (2023), alongside the various flat-screen iterations of Bridge Constructor, which originally debuted in 2011.
The game is priced at $10 and will be available exclusively on Quest 2 and 3 starting December 12th. You can check it out in the Horizon Store.
