Apple is gearing up to expand its suite of AI tools, known as Apple Intelligence, to Vision Pro this coming April. This expansion arrives with the public unveiling of visionOS 2.4. For those who can’t wait, enabling developer mode grants early access to try out these features right now.
Vision Pro users can look forward to a suite of cutting-edge AI functionalities, thanks to the capabilities already present on iOS and Mac. The tools include everything from automated writing assistance and AI-generated imagery to smart reply messages, intuitive photo searches, AI summaries, and even custom emojis. What sets Vision Pro apart, though, is its unique interface which leans heavily on voice and hand-based text input, promising a seamless and immersive experience.
The upcoming Vision Pro update will introduce an improved Guest User mode, a game-changer for sharing the experience with friends or family. Using a nearby iPhone or iPad, you can effortlessly guide others through the virtual landscape, sparing them the usual confusion that often accompanies navigating new tech.
Additionally, the update debuts the Spatial Gallery—an enticing collection of spatial photos, videos, and panoramas curated from renowned artists across the globe. This vibrant gallery will be available to users in diverse regions including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE, the UK, and the US, giving them a new way to explore visual content.
Vision Pro will also see enhanced integration with iOS, particularly when visionOS 2.4 officially launches in April. A new app for iOS called Apple Vision Pro will provide users with the ability to queue up app and game downloads, explore spatial content, and manage device settings directly from their iPhone, coinciding with the release of iOS 18.4.
Initially, the 2.4 release with Apple Intelligence will be accessible only in English for users in the US, but Apple promises more languages and additional features will be introduced progressively throughout the year.
While we’re still waiting for a specific release date aside from the anticipated April launch, a developer beta version of visionOS 2.4 is already out. To dive into the developer beta, head to Settings, select Privacy & Security, activate “Developer Mode,” and simply restart your Vision Pro to get started.
