Rogueside has just revealed they’re working on a new detective-themed visual novel called Best Served Cold, set to make its way to the Nintendo Switch.
Imagine an alternate history set in Europe, where you find yourself juggling the roles of a bartender and a detective at The Nightcap, the city’s last standing speakeasy. As you craft and serve cocktails, patrons will begin to open up, revealing their deepest secrets.
By listening to your clientele, you become privy to their individual stories, gradually piecing together a mystery embedded deep within the layers of Bukovie society. The task involves interacting with a variety of characters – from the well-heeled, money-wasting elite to morally ambiguous law enforcers and bottom-of-the-barrel hustlers. Wield your charm wisely, or threaten if necessary, to extricate the truths you seek.
The game introduces you to a cast of 20 distinct and intriguing personalities. It’s up to you to decide whom to trust and whom to handle with caution. Featuring five intricate cases, your detective skills will be tested as you sift through leads and interrogate suspects in a race to save both lives and your cherished speakeasy.
