We’re in for some exciting times this month with a series of fresh updates rolling out across our gaming platforms. These updates include seamless in-app purchases on mobile through the Xbox app, the ability to stream your personal game library on Xbox consoles, and nifty tips to clear storage space, among others. Dive in for all the juicy details about these upcoming features and more for your favorite devices.
### Game Purchases and More via the Xbox Mobile App
One of the most awaited features by the Xbox community is finally here. Soon, you’ll be able to directly buy games, access Game Pass, and enjoy pricy perks straight from the Xbox mobile app. Now, how’s that for convenience? Pre-ordering gems like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is a breeze, and you can set them to pre-install on your Xbox consoles from the app itself. Snap up titles like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and MLB The Show 25, and hop onto Game Pass easily on the same platform. Ultimate members can look forward to redeeming cool perks such as the Sea of Thieves Seventh Serving Emote without leaving the app.
This thrilling update is already reaching beta users on iOS and Android. Expect it soon on the Google Play Store and Apple Store for all devices.
Got a payment method saved? You’ll see a Buy button pop up on game details, letting you snag games and add-ons with a quick double-tap.
### Stream Your Games on Xbox Consoles
Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate enthusiasts can stream select owned games alongside the Game Pass collection on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. This is a delightful expansion from last November’s devices—Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV gadgets, Meta Quest headgears, and browser-supported devices like PCs, smartphones, and tablets. It’s all about saving hard drive space and diving into games immediately without installation wait times.
To stream from your console, head to My games & apps > Full library > Owned Games. Spot a cloud badge on the game page for cloud-ready titles. Filter easily with Filter > Ready to play > Cloud gaming. Once you settle on a game, hit Play with Cloud Gaming to dive right in. Also, start streaming directly from the Store app with eligible cloud games after purchase.
### Stream Your Own Game Collection Grows
We’re continually expanding the “Stream your own game” lineup for Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta). If you’re a Game Pass Ultimate member, enjoy streaming from a collection of over 100 cloud-compatible wonders on various devices.
Recently added to the mix are:
– Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed
– Kill It With Fire
– LEGO Marvel Superheroes
Upcoming additions include:
– Agatha Christie Murder on the Orient Express
– Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy
– Bratz Flaunt your fashion

### Expanding Xbox Remote Play Access
Great news! Now you can play any game installed on your console from xbox.com/remoteplay using any device with a suitable browser. Although Xbox remote play isn’t directly accessible from the mobile app anymore, you can still play using browser support on your devices.
Moreover, Xbox remote play is expanding to more devices—think Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV sticks, and even Meta Quest headsets. With Xbox remote play and Xbox Cloud Gaming now converging on Xbox.com, we’re opening doors for more device compatibility and smoother access to Xbox mobile store—a move we’re pretty excited about as it sets the stage for further improvements.
And, in a bit of nostalgia, backward-compatible games from the original Xbox and Xbox 360 will also be available via remote play on all supported devices.
### Manage Your Storage Space Smartly
Our latest update packs a punch with an intelligent way to free up storage space across all Xbox consoles. Alongside highlighting unused add-ons and games open for resizing, you’ll now see tailored suggestions for removing game duplicates and titles you don’t have access to anymore. Try this fresh feature by heading to My Games & Apps > Manage > Free up space.
### Game Hubs: All You Need, All In One
Xbox consoles are now ushering in new game hubs. They offer a treasure trove of game-specific insights—stats, achievements, friends currently gaming, recent captures, add-ons, events, and more. For a set of players, these hubs appear automatically when they pick a game from their recent or installed lists. The Play button takes center stage here—simply double-tap from the game tile and jump into action instantly.
We’ve also introduced a new setting to launch games directly, bypassing game hubs. To toggle this, head over to your personalization settings, or go to My games & apps > Manage > Games & apps.
### Dynamic Backgrounds Reflect Your Style
With the release of South of Midnight, a new dynamic backdrop is now at your fingertips for Xbox Series X|S. Customize your consoles to align with this thrilling new game. For guidance on setting dynamic backgrounds, visit the Xbox Support page.
