While the upcoming update for Disney Dreamlight Valley shines a spotlight on Alice in Wonderland, there’s an exciting twist for fans—a bit of the Star Wars universe is also set to make its debut in the Valley. Players have been buzzing with theories about the arrival of Alice in Wonderland and Star Wars elements, and it seems their anticipation will soon pay off as these rumors have been officially confirmed.
Set your calendars for April 23 when the Wonderland Whimsy update lands in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This update not only introduces the Uncrafting Station, a nod to the playful Dreamlight Stompers from April Fool’s Day, but also welcomes two beloved characters: Alice and the Cheshire Cat. Additionally, the Garden of Whimsy Star Path will launch, offering a chic new Minnie Mouse Dreamstyle and a premium animal companion. Fans of Wonderland will also find new themed clothing, alongside some handy improvements to the game.
And there’s something extra thrilling—Star Wars content! This unexpected addition will be available in Disney Dreamlight Valley as part of the same update. The Premium Shop will boast an array of Star Wars items such as Jedi robes, a lightsaber hand accessory with a unique photo pose, and everyone’s favorite droid, R2D2, who will wonderfully accompany players on their adventures. Although there’s no official date yet, these collectibles promise to arrive just in time for Star Wars Day on May 4.
Disney Dreamlight Valley has traditionally stuck with characters from Walt Disney Animation and Pixar films, but it’s made room for elements from other Disney-owned properties in its collection of furniture, clothing, and motifs, including nods to Disney Parks and Disney Channel Original Movies like Hocus Pocus. While these are popular, Star Wars undoubtedly captures a broader audience, which might hint at future themed items, possibly from Marvel, making their way to the Valley.
Looking ahead, now that Star Wars items are confirmed, it wouldn’t be a shocker if Gameloft and Disney decided to introduce Marvel content next. Although Marvel doesn’t have a specific holiday, National Superhero Day on April 28 could be a fitting release date. Alternatively, Disney Dreamlight Valley could choose to commemorate notable Marvel figures by timing a release with Jack Kirby’s birthday on August 28 or Stan Lee’s birthday on December 28.
An ideal approach for introducing Marvel content could be to bring Big Hero 6 characters into the game. This franchise, based on a Marvel comic, fits seamlessly with Disney Dreamlight Valley’s practice of drawing characters from Disney Animation and Pixar films. Including these characters would not only expand the roster in an organic way but also provide a pretext to incorporate additional MCU-themed items into the Star Path or Premium Shop offerings.
