Hello everyone, I’m Kit Navock, the latest CMO at Immersed. Recently, I sold my company and, like many who go through that process, I found myself reflecting on what kind of work and team I wanted to be a part of next. Fast forward, and here I am at Immersed. I’ve bought into the vision, and you can too, by becoming an investor before we pick up even more speed! But first, here’s why I took this leap.
Immersed has been a blip on my radar for quite some time. I got in early as an investor and got to know the team over the years through casual hangouts like movie nights over at their Austin office. What was simple curiosity morphed into something more respectful. These folks aren’t just talented—they’re driven, humble, and genuinely good people.
A couple of months back, I dropped a text to Renji, the founder of Immersed, about some basketball news. His response threw me for a loop: “You should come work with us.”
Honestly, it wasn’t a straightforward choice. I considered the idea more out of amusement initially. Yet, Renji’s charisma left an impression. I mulled it over for days and eventually consulted my closest friends and advisors. I explained that life was sweet—working a comfortable 20-hour week post-company sale. Still, this offer nagged at me in a good way.
Their advice was consistent: Go for it.
Now, I took a lower salary than I’ve had in ages. But it’s not about a quick buck for me. I’ve joined this team because I truly believe in the potential of these people and the groundbreaking product they’re crafting. Once I got my hands on what they were building, it clicked. It all made sense.
Visor: The AR/VR Device That’s Here to Stay
Confession time—I’m somewhat new to the world of XR. The tech world is familiar territory for me, but augmented and virtual reality? Not so much. I was never the type to jerry-rig sensors to my face, or dabble with OpenVR builds in 2016. More of a mainstream kind of guy. Even got myself an Apple Vision Pro just to grasp this whole spatial computing concept.
Honestly? It worked well. I noticed an uptick in focus and productivity. But then stepped in Visor—Immersed’s own creation—and it checked off boxes I didn’t even know I had.
Weighing in at around 186 grams, yes, lighter than my phone, Visor resembles thick sunglasses rather than headgear. It’s standalone, touts dual 4K micro-OLED displays, and boasts a 3-hour battery. Beyond these specs, its supposed magic lies in its functionality—it’s ready for tools like VS Code, Figma, email, Blender, and more. Rather than feeling like a clumsy extension of my computer, it felt seamless.
This device is not a developer kit. It’s not some novelty toy. It doesn’t weigh you down, and it’s not going to set you back $3,499. It’s simply the practical solution suited for actual workdays.
While I’m still finding my footing here, I know this is no mere prototype. It’s the first of its kind, poised for a grander audience.
From App to Platform (and AI Co-Pilot)
If you’re familiar with Immersed, you already know it’s the world’s most-used AR/VR productivity app. Users enjoy multi-monitor AR/VR workspaces, low-latency streaming, and real-time collaboration. It’s been the go-to for millions of sessions, serving power users who get stuff done in XR.
With Visor, we shift from just being an app to becoming an integral part of a broader spatial computing platform. This is an OS crafted for focus, supporting native 3D tools rather than simply hanging 2D windows in the air. I imagine Steve Jobs had a similar vision for building a cohesive ecosystem.
The biggest game-changer for me was Curator AI. It’s an integrated co-pilot fine-tuned to grasp my workflow, minimizing all that pesky context-switching and boosting my productivity quietly. This isn’t just some flashy add-on—it’s essentially the backbone of this platform. This is what I expect Siri could have evolved into, and it’s here now.
Plus, with Visor in tandem with the Immersed platform and Curator AI, we’re expanding beyond LLMs into physical spaces. Thanks to its OpenXR compatibility, developers have the freedom to build atop it—creating tools, agents, or even entire apps.
We aren’t merely porting your desktop to 3D. We’re redefining spatial productivity, laying AI foundations from the get-go. This is tailored for builders.
Why It Matters Right Now
I didn’t sign up at Immersed just to discuss screens in mid-air or chatty avatars. I believe spatial computing has the power to revolutionize our work and lives. The blend of immersive ecosystems, native tools, and unstinting AI support offers a powerful transformation—and it’s coming faster than many anticipate. I have enormous faith in Immersed, its technology, and its people—this is why I became part of the team.
This isn’t just for tech enthusiasts. Immersed caters to engineers, designers, filmmakers, and anybody working with screens. As AI and robotics evolve, the necessity of a reliable immersive spatial platform only amplifies.
Visor extends beyond mere headsets. The Immersed platform is far beyond a virtual workspace. Curator is not simply an AI assistant. These elements together form a robust ecosystem to elevate us all.
We’re eager to share our progress with you.
For those waiting for that perfect headset backed by the right company, now’s your cue to be part of our journey. Join us at Immersed as we introduce spatial computing to the world.
