Dead by Daylight Unveils April Content Plan

In April 2025, Behaviour Interactive unveiled the latest roadmap for its much-loved asymmetrical horror game, Dead by Daylight. This multiplayer title has captivated over 60 million players since its 2016 release, offering thrilling one-versus-four gameplay across various platforms.

What keeps players hooked? The game’s penchant for spotlighting crossovers with infamous characters from beloved franchises. Fans of Stranger Things, Silent Hill, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre have all found familiar faces lurking in the game’s PVP experiences. And now, the April content roadmap promises even more spine-chilling events.

Kicking off the month with a bang, Dead by Daylight launched a crossover with Tokyo Ghoul on April 2, introducing Ken Kaneki, aka The Ghoul, to its roster of killers. Not to be outdone, survivors can don costumes inspired by the anime’s iconic style. The roadmap also heralds the return of the popular Blood Moon event from April 7 to April 29, showering daily login bonuses upon players.

April’s lineup doesn’t stop there. On April 12, Behaviour Interactive has something special planned at Horrorcon in Scotland before unveiling the new Player Test Build on April 15. Although details on the PTB are sparse, players can anticipate a sneak peek into exciting new game developments and rebalancing efforts. As the month wraps up, gamers will have the chance to explore a new Techwear collection and join in the Fragment Frenzy mini-event on April 22.

However, the removal of the Hellraiser chapter, featuring fan-favorite Pinhead, casts a shadow over the month’s announcements. This gothic horror character captured hearts when introduced in 2021, yet now faces removal, hinting at possible licensing challenges. Fortunately, those who unlocked Pinhead before the cut can still play him, though the accompanying storyline is no longer accessible.

April holds plenty of excitement for Dead by Daylight enthusiasts. The return of the Blood Moon event is particularly anticipated by fans eager for another round. If the Tokyo Ghoul crossover turns out to be a hit, we may see Behaviour Interactive considering even more anime-killer collaborations for its Survivors.
