Nintendo has announced that the upcoming Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 presentation, scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2025, will last approximately one hour.

Last month, Nintendo officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2, putting an end to the flurry of rumors, alleged leaks, and endless speculation that had been circulating about the new version of its handheld-home console hybrid.
The brief reveal video gave fans a glimpse of the console’s sleek design, teased a brand new Mario Kart installment, and confirmed that the new hardware will feature backward compatibility with the original Switch games.
Additionally, Nintendo has stated that the new Switch 2 will support both physical and digital Nintendo Switch titles. However, they cautioned that some games from the original platform might not be compatible or fully functional on the updated console.
The global release of the Nintendo Switch 2 is planned for 2025, although the company has not yet pinned down the exact launch date.
