Get ready to break a sweat because the competitive VR platformer, Pixel Arcade, is making its big debut on Quest today.
Pixel Arcade, the brainchild of CJG Studio, takes VR parkour to new heights. It’s a vibrant, adrenaline-pumping adventure where players launch themselves through intricate neon landscapes, all while vying for top spots on a global leaderboard. But it’s not just about leaping from platform to platform; you’ve got to dodge lasers and bounce pads that could abruptly end your well-executed run.
The game features ten uniquely challenging levels, each presenting complex spatial puzzles that will test your skills. As you progress through these dynamic environments, you’ll have the chance to unlock checkpoints, allowing for strategically saved progress.
Pixel Arcade builds on the foundation laid by CJG Studio’s previous release, Pixel Arcade Legacy from 2016. The original game introduced gamers to the colorful pixel worlds and the strategic unlocking of checkpoints. This new installment revamps that formula with polished visuals and all-new settings, offering players fresh challenges and more opportunities to showcase their strategy.
For now, Pixel Arcade is a single-player experience. However, CJG Studio has assured fans that multiplayer and seasonal updates are in the pipeline, promising even more content to enjoy down the road.
Initially available on Steam Early Access, Pixel Arcade is now officially out on Quest. And for those on PlayStation, the game trailer teases a PlayStation VR2 version, stating it’s “coming soon.”
While this article briefly made its appearance on January 31 in anticipation of the game’s Quest release, we’re excited to share it again today with the official confirmation of the launch.
