Fans of the immersive survival shooter genre have something to look forward to with “Into the Radius 2,” set to arrive on Quest 3 and 3S headsets in the second quarter of 2025, priced at $39.99.
“Into the Radius 2” plunges players into an intense survival experience where they must gather realistic weapons, collaborate with friends, and explore the eerie, ever-dangerous Pechorsk Security Zone. Developed by the Estonian team at CM Games, this title made its debut on Steam Early Access in mid-2024. It’s made waves, becoming one of only two VR-exclusive games on Steam to gather over 1,000 reviews—the other contender being “Metro Awakening.” Since its launch, it has maintained a “mostly positive” rating and brought in a substantial $3 million in revenue.
When we initially reviewed “Into the Radius 2” during its Early Access launch in August 2024, we found it to be a promising project that adeptly marries horror with realism. However, we also noted that the limited content made it difficult to fully endorse, even for die-hard fans of the original game, unless they were willing to invest in its potential for improvement.
Since then, CM Games has been hard at work, rolling out two major updates along with a series of smaller patches, all aimed at enhancing the game’s content and refining its overall polish.
The Early Access version of “Into the Radius 2” is set to land on Meta Quest early in 2025, while those eager to explore can dive into it on Steam right now.
