Warhorse Studios is bringing us up to speed on all things Kingdom Come: Deliverance with a detailed story recap just in time for the sequel’s release next week. So, if you’re eager to dive back into the rich medieval world of one of the most celebrated RPGs on Xbox, this is your perfect opportunity to brush up on the past adventures before Kingdom Come: Deliverance II hits the scene!
As the countdown continues for the sequel’s launch on February 4, 2025, Warhorse Studios has thoughtfully provided an overview of the complex medieval narrative from Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The much-anticipated sequel will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5. While the first game was a brilliant RPG journey, it navigated through a maze of intense political and military turmoil set in 15th-century Bohemia. For those of us who might not recall every twist and turn, this story recap is certainly a welcome reminder.
In the original game, players stepped into the shoes of Henry, a humble blacksmith’s son from Skalitz, whose world is turned upside down by violence. His path to vengeance leads him into encounters with pivotal figures and significant events of the time. But Henry’s journey is no walk in the park—he has to master combat, literacy, and the art of survival in this brutal environment, thanks to the detailed RPG mechanics that make the game so engrossing.
Before diving into Kingdom Come: Deliverance, 15th-century Bohemia might not have been a hot topic for many of us (unless, of course, you’ve always been deep into medieval politics — if so, my apologies!). Once you start playing, though, it all changes. And while we all get a kick out of quoting some of Wenceslas IV’s more “colorful” antics, it’s definitely handy to have a refresher on Henry’s first adventure.
If you’re curious about what’s next for the series, we’ve got you covered with a Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 prequel guide. So, what do you think of the story recap? Are you ready for Henry’s upcoming journey? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
