ASRock’s latest graphics cards, the Radeon RX 9070 series, have recently made an appearance online, showcasing the anticipated Steel Legend and Taichi models.
In a surprising move, details of ASRock’s upcoming custom RX 9070 GPU models have surfaced on the internet before their official release, highlighting a selection of sophisticated designs. It appears ASRock is ready with an impressive lineup of AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs, notably featuring the Radeon RX 9070 along with the RX 9070 XT. Although we’re still waiting for “official” imagery from other partners, ASRock’s cards have been spotted online, featuring three distinct offerings: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger.
Starting with the Taichi series, this model seems to be ASRock’s standout product, boasting a sleek triple-fan setup alongside a hefty heatsink, fitting into a three-slot footprint.
One of the intriguing aspects of ASRock’s Taichi variant is the inclusion of a 12V-2×6 power connector. Not all models will sport this feature, as AMD has allowed flexibility for partners based on each model’s power needs. This connector is capable of delivering up to 600W, suggesting that the Taichi is geared up for high performance and overclocking.
Moving on to the Steel Legend model, it’s positioned as ASRock’s mid-range offering, available in both white and silver themes. This version showcases a 2.5-slot triple-fan configuration but skips the 12V-2×6 connector, opting instead for a dual 8-pin setup, which is more standard across AMD’s partner models, barring some of the top-tier options like Taichi.
As for when these GPUs will become available, your best bet would be to watch for them next week, as rumors suggest this is when AMD plans to begin taking pre-orders for its RX 9070 series graphics cards.
