As anticipation grows for the Nintendo Switch 2, retailers are beginning to open up pre-orders for this highly-awaited successor to the beloved portable home console.
While there’s no official word yet on the price or how much stock each retailer will have, many are inviting eager fans to sign up for email alerts. This way, you’ll be among the first to know when you’re able to secure your Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order.
Best Buy, serving both the United States and Canada, jumped in early, being the first to start this process. Across the pond, ShopTo in the UK is asking for a mere penny to show your interest. They do mention, however, that this doesn’t guarantee a pre-order, and if they can’t fulfill your request, you’ll get that penny refunded.
We’re still in the dark about the specific launch date for pre-orders, but Nintendo has announced a special Nintendo Direct event focusing on the Nintendo Switch 2. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2025, this presentation is expected to shed more light on what’s to come. And fingers crossed, pre-orders might become available shortly after the event.
We’ll keep this page updated with the latest info on where you can register your interest or pre-order as soon as details emerge. Spot a retailer offering pre-orders or sign-ups? Drop us a comment and share the news!
