Ever found yourself curious about just how much a PC gamer can save with a PC Game Pass subscription? If you’re anything like me, you might be surprised to learn the savings are pretty significant. In 2024 alone, the total value of games added to the service came in at nearly $5,000.
Jamie Hore at PCGamesN did the number crunching, analyzing all 137 games added that year. By calculating their dollar value at the time of their addition, Jamie discovered the grand total reached $4,812.63. That’s quite the contrast to the approximately $143 you’d spend on a full year of PC Game Pass. Talk about getting bang for your buck!
Of course, there are some important details to remember. These savings are hypothetical, assuming you’re eager to play every game as soon as it’s available. And let’s be honest, the savings only apply to the games you actually care about. Personally, if playing Starfield meant saving $30, I’d rather have an offer too big to refuse.
However, this data is a testament to the potential savings with Game Pass. It even breaks down possible savings month-by-month according to the PCGamesN article. For instance, April was a real treat with 17 games added, including five day-one releases. Then there’s December, which wasn’t exactly the star performer with just six new titles, two being day-one releases. Nevertheless, even in a slower month like December, the savings could amount to $214.94. That’s still a pretty decent saving!
Does any of this change your perspective on the PC Game Pass? Are you feeling more confident about your subscription, or do you wish you’d jumped on board sooner? Or perhaps you prefer the thrill of adventure, with the sea breeze in your hair and a heart full of dreams? Share your thoughts with us!
