According to recent leaks, it looks like we can expect Cyberpunk 2077 to hit the Fortnite Shop by December 23, spotlighting beloved characters V and Johnny Silverhand. Fortnite has been stepping up its collaboration game, pulling in big names like Mariah Carey, which has truly stretched the imagination of what’s possible in the world of gaming. Epic Games seems to be on a mission to integrate some of the most celebrated video games from recent years, and the Cyberpunk 2077 crossover has gamers buzzing with excitement about bringing that unique vibe to their Fortnite battles.
For a long time, players have been eagerly speculating about when Cyberpunk 2077 would join forces with Fortnite. Now, after much anticipation, it seems the wait is almost over, with rumors pointing to the imminent arrival of key characters in the shop. As Project Orion is being built in Unreal Engine 5 alongside The Witcher 4, it’s becoming clear that a promising collaboration might be brewing between CD Projekt Red and Epic Games, one that could pave the way for more fantastic team-ups.
Over on Twitter, Fortnite insider @HYPEX shared some tantalizing details from @SpushFNBR about what’s in store for this much-talked-about Cyberpunk 2077 event. Supposedly, we’ll see V and Johnny Silverhand’s skins drop on December 23, each coming with their own gear: Johnny gets a Katana, a Night City-themed Wrap, an Emote, while V comes prepared with Mantis Blades and a Vehicle.
Moving on to specifics, @SpushFNBR fleshed out the info, noting that Johnny’s bundle will include a distinctive Backbling and that his memorable guitar will also be up for grabs. As for V, players can look forward to a Flathead Backbling inspired by the game’s opening scenes, plus their ride of choice, the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech, a recognizable vehicle from Cyberpunk 2077’s trailers and gameplay. Players can seize all these goodies as a bundle for 2800 V-Bucks, though the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech might also be sold separately. Items are slated to be decrypted by December 22 in the Fortnite Shop, becoming available from December 23 in the US and December 24 in Europe.
Fans are thrilled at the thought of bringing Cyberpunk’s iconic personalities into Fortnite’s universe, although some jest that Johnny Silverhand might not be too thrilled about being part of a microtransaction, given his character’s rebellious spirit. Meanwhile, others are holding out hope that this is just the start of something bigger, possibly paving the way for appearances from the cast of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners through additional skins and items.
Fortnite continues to be a realm of creativity and excitement, offering players the chance to dive into an ever-evolving world, whether that’s through strategic battles or participating in live events. With its vibrant palette of creator-made games and activities, Fortnite never fails to offer something new, pushing the boundaries and keeping gaming communities engaged and entertained.
