Looking forward to some intense battles? The “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Online Challenge: Winter Clash 2024” is just around the corner! This thrilling online event, hosted on the Nintendo Switch’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate platform, is organized by Nintendo of Europe SE, here in Frankfurt, Germany.
### Event Schedule & Locations
Mark your calendars for Friday, December 6th, when the action kicks off from 18:00 to 20:00 CET (or 17:00 to 19:00 UK time). This competition is open to players residing in a variety of European countries, including Austria, France, Germany, and the UK, among others. Keep in mind, though, players from distant locations like the Azores might not be able to join due to connectivity issues.
### How to Join
Ready to jump in? Make sure you’ve got a Nintendo Account set to one of the participating countries and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. Whether it’s a paid subscription or a free trial, you’re good to go. Access to the game on your Nintendo Switch is, of course, essential. Once you’ve got that sorted, head to the main menu, select “Online,” and dive into the “Official Tourney Qualifiers” to join the excitement.
### Scoring System
Your goal throughout the event is to rack up the highest Tourney score possible. This score reflects your skill and is calculated based on your match outcomes and the relative scores of your opponents. You can keep track of your score anytime during the tournament. Plus, there’s no limit to the number of matches you can play, so keep battling to improve your score!
### Prizes Up for Grabs
Achieve a top-10 Tourney score, and you’ll earn yourself 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points. Not in the top 10? No worries—the next 90 top scorers will each snag 1,000 Gold Points. Remember, if you change your account to a non-participating country during the event, you’ll be disqualified. Plus, any sneaky behavior or rule-breaking could result in suspension or termination of your Nintendo Account.
### Prize Delivery
Wondering when you’ll receive your Gold Points? Nintendo plans to distribute the prizes directly to the winners’ accounts within two weeks after the tournament wraps up. Double-check that the points are there by logging into My Nintendo and checking your Point Log.
