Nintendo is making waves this Black Friday by offering significant savings on its Switch consoles for the first time. For a limited period, you can snag the standard Switch model for just $224.99 and the Switch OLED for $274.99, thanks to a $75 discount. These deals come as part of a holiday bundle that adds $79 worth of extras, like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a three-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. This service lets you engage in online multiplayer, utilize cloud saves, dive into retro games, and access the Nintendo Music mobile app.
Up until now, significant discounts on these consoles post-launch have been scarce, limited to fleeting retailer promotions or offers that needed a Costco membership. Nintendo’s usual strategy has been to maintain price points but enhance bundle value by including games or trials for its online services. However, this time around, we’re witnessing genuine markdowns without sacrificing the bonus content. Whether these price cuts will make a comeback post–Cyber Monday isn’t clear, but it wouldn’t be a shock if we see them again as we approach the anticipated unveiling of the Switch 2 in early 2025.
Besides console deals, Nintendo is offering enticing discounts on various accessories and games. You can pick up the reliable and highly-praised Switch Pro wireless controller and pairs of Joy-Con controllers for $20 less. Plus, some of the Switch’s top games are now at their lowest prices yet. There are so many great deals that it’s impossible to cover them all here. Be sure to check out our detailed roundup of the best early Black Friday gaming deals, which we’ll be updating regularly as we count down to November 29.
