The season concludes with a quirky twist, starting off with Sinistea taking a dive into the waters of Undella Bay.
Hot off the heels of last weekend’s Wild Area event in Pokémon Go, there’s another exciting affair on the horizon, this time with a distinct Unovan touch.
The Pokémon Go Tour: Unova has been unveiled as the grand finale of “Dual Destinies,” a captivating, Unova-themed season in the game. Get ready for live events happening in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, CA, set for February 22 and 23. Following this, players around the world can join in on March 1 and 2. Unfortunately for Europe, it seems there won’t be an in-person event due to the European International Championship taking center stage that weekend. This Unova Tour marks the third in-person event of its kind, with previous gatherings held in Las Vegas back in February 2023 and another in Pasadena/the greater Los Angeles area earlier this year.
Tickets are already available for those eager to partake in the live events, while the global celebration will be free for everyone. However, if you’re up for an extra adventure, there’s an optional purchase for a comprehensive “Masterwork Research” story that rewards players with a shiny version of the mythical Meloetta, which recently became available via Pokémon Home.
If you’re eager for more info, be sure to check out the event website. While it has some basics, it’s holding back some exciting specifics—like which Pokémon will be featured—until we get closer to the date. Rumor has it, the event might just give us the official debut of the Black 2 and White 2 box art versions of Kyurem. These elusive forms briefly appeared last year before being swiftly removed in favor of Kyurem’s standard form, so anticipation is high!
