The sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077, renowned for its ambitious scope, has impressively sold over 30 million copies worldwide. This achievement was recently highlighted by CD Projekt’s chief financial officer, Piotr Nielubowicz, as part of the company’s financial update for the quarter ending in September, as cited by VGC.
In an exciting development, the Phantom Liberty expansion has also made significant strides, surpassing eight million units in sales. And there’s more on the horizon for fans: Cyberpunk 2077 is soon to debut on Mac devices. Additional buzz surrounds an upcoming animation project that will expand the Cyberpunk universe even further.
Speaking from a place of obvious enthusiasm, Nielubowicz shared, “I’ve got some exciting updates straight from Night City.” He noted, “Cyberpunk 2077 has crossed the 30 million sales mark, and the Phantom Liberty expansion has already moved eight million copies.”
He continued, “Such impressive figures really shed light on the vast fanbase and the genuine excitement surrounding the Cyberpunk world.” He emphasized the importance of these milestones, especially since the game and its expansion are set for a release on Mac devices featuring Apple Silicon chips next year.
Nielubowicz also expressed his delight in announcing upcoming creative ventures, saying, “We’re thrilled to be working on another animation project within the Cyberpunk universe, which will soon be available to stream on Netflix.”
