Last week, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl took the gaming world by storm, emerging as the top-selling game on Steam. Released on November 20th, this title has already surpassed the million-copy mark. That’s not even considering the players exploring this survival shooter through Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass. Such success is likely a heartfelt victory for the team at GSC Game World who completed Stalker 2 under the challenging circumstances of a warzone.
In the weekly rankings, Heart of Chornobyl nudged Counter-Strike 2 down to second place, while Valve’s Steam Deck climbed to the third spot. This surge was fueled by the release of a limited-edition white console on November 18th, which practically flew off the shelves.
Meanwhile, PUBG: Battlegrounds and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 both slid down one place, landing in fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Despite facing some technical hiccups widely discussed among gamers, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 entered the scene at a respectable sixth place.
Looking ahead, the buzz around the upcoming Path of Exile 2 is palpable. Thanks to the Supporter Packs that offer early game access in December, it secured a spot at number seven in the Steam Top Ten. Amazon and NCSoft’s Throne and Liberty climbed up two notches to eighth, edging out EA Sports FC 25 in ninth. Rounding out the list, we find Dota 2 securing the tenth position.
